Tudor Lodge Therapeutic School was founded with one purpose to build a space for all students to grow, learn and thrive within a Therapeutic environment. Through a unique teaching approach and truly passionate staff, we help students develop emotionally, socially and academically in order to achieve each individuals aspirations.


We believe that each child needs to feel like they are truly valued, we aim to achieve this by providing a therapeutic provision that is outstanding. Our provision will be more than just a school where children are educated. We will not only be offering an amazing curriculum but an environment where children sit together at mealtimes and enjoy home cooked locally sourced foods, a platform where each child is able to celebrate their daily successes, sensory spaces that will offer a peaceful and calming environment, enriched after school activities where children can interact socially with one another and Therapeutic support for both pupils and families.

Mission Statement

Tudor Lodge Therapeutic School is committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student is valued, respected, and supported. We aim to empower our students to develop the social, emotional, and academic skills needed to thrive in school and beyond by focusing on values such as empathy, resilience, respect, and integrity. Our highly skilled and dedicated staff work collaboratively with students, families, and external partners to create personalised and holistic support plans that meet the unique needs of each individual. By fostering a culture of understanding, acceptance, and positivity, we strive to inspire our students to reach their full potential and become confident, compassionate, and responsible members of society. Tudor Lodge Therapeutic school delivers a child centered approach with a curriculum and whole school life that is embedded with a therapeutic ethos underpinned by Therapeutic principals. Statement of Intent

Tudor Lodge School caters to children and young people who have social, emotional, and mental health difficulties that may be impacting their ability to thrive in a mainstream school environment.

These difficulties can include a range of issues such as behavioural problems, mental health conditions, emotional challenges, or difficulties in forming relationships with peers and adults.

Children accepted at Tudor Lodge School typically have difficulties with their cognition and learning and exhibit a variety of challenging behaviours or emotional issues that require specialised support and intervention. Some common reasons for a child to attend an SEMH school include:

1. Significant behavioural challenges such as aggression, defiance, or disruptive behaviour, including pupils with ADHD.
2. Mental health conditions like anxiety, depression, or trauma-related issues.
3. Social difficulties, including struggles with forming relationships, social skills deficits, or isolation, including pupils with ASD
4. Emotional challenges such as low self-esteem, emotional dysregulation, or difficulties coping with emotions.
5. Past experiences of trauma or adverse childhood experiences that impact their well-being and behaviour.
